Joy is an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD), an IBCLC since 1991, and an active volunteer Australian Breastfeeding Association counsellor since 1987. Joy has a special interest in all aspects of infant feeding as well as in adverse food reactions in all ages. She is passionate about the importance of breastfeeding to both short and long-term physical and psychological health and also about helping people with food intolerances, especially breastfeeding dyads.

Joy is also passionate about spreading the word regarding the effects of food intolerance on breastfed babies. Robyn is an Accredited Practising Dietitian. She achieved her Masters of Nutrition and Dietetics from Deakin University in 2002 and also has a Bachelor of Applied Science (Human Movement) from RMIT University.

Dr Antigone Kouris has over 25 years experience as a clinical dietitian and she is currently Adjunct Senior Lecturer in Nutrition & Dietetics at Latrobe University. Dr. Kouris takes a wholistic approach to patient care with the ultimate goal of improving wellness and optimal health.

Treatment includes tailored dietary prescription and evidence based short term tailored medical nutrition therapy to aid in the management of a wide range of conditions and improvement of wellness.

Dr Sue Shepherd is an Advanced Accredited Practising Dietitian and Accredited Nutritionist who graduated with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Health Promotion and post graduate Masters in Nutrition and Dietetics. She specialises in the treatment of dietary intolerances. Sue also has coeliac disease herself – she lives and breathes all good tastes gluten free, both personally and professionally!

Sue was diagnosed with coeliac disease whilst undertaking her Masters Degree to become a dietitian. It changed her career path – but she believes only for the better! Since being diagnosed with coeliac disease, Sue has maintained a strong commitment to educating people with special dietary needs.
Although only 38 years of age, Sue is recognised internationally as a leading expert dietitian in the area of coeliac disease and irritable bowel syndrome, having completed her PhD research in 2008. She previously worked as senior lecturer at Monash University and has now Senior Lecturer for La Trobe University Department of Dietetics and Human Nutrition. She is a clinical investigator in numerous national and also international ethics-approved research studies. She is an invited speaker at national and international medical conferences.

Shepherd Works is a gastrointestinal dietetic practice with 10 dietitians who specialise in coeliac disease, irritable bowel syndrome, low FODMAP diet, fructose malabsorption, lactose intolerance, food intolerances and inflammatory bowel disease. Gaye is passionate about healthy lifestyles and currently works primarily with athletes and individuals seeking to maximise their health and performance. She is the contract dietitian for the Tasmanian PFK Tigers Cricket Team, and consults to many sports and individuals for the Tasmanian Institute of Sport

She also has an interest in Corporate Health having previously worked as Health & Wellbeing Manager for a major construction firm. Linda Hodge is an Accredited Practising Dietitian and Accredited Nutritionist with more than 30 years of experience. Currently Linda has private consulting rooms in three separate locations in northern Sydney where she sees patients with various diet problems, but specialises in the investigation and management of food chemical intolerance and food allergy.

Linda graduated from the University of New England with a Bachelor of Science, majoring in biochemistry and physiology. She then went on to complete post-graduate studies at the University of Sydney and was awarded a Diploma in Nutrition and Dietetics and later a Master of Science in Medicine. After several years of working as a community dietitian developing nutrition education programmes for all ages, she trained with the experts at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital Allergy Unit in Sydney, learning the most up-to-date techniques for the investigation and treatment of food chemical intolerance.
 Linda then devoted years to the research of the effects of food chemical sensitivity on symptoms of asthma and was responsible for ground-breaking research into the effects of fish oil consumption in asthmatics whilst working with the Institute of Respiratory Medicine, now the Woolcock Institute, in Sydney.

Throughout her career, Linda has presented the results of her research and experience at conferences of the Dietitians Association of Australia (DAA), The Thoracic Society of Australia and New Zealand, the International Paediatric Respiratory Congress, the Australian Society for Medical Research N.S.W. and the Gastroenterological Society. In addition, her work has been presented to the American Thoracic Society and the Asian Pacific Society of Respirology.
Linda has had a regular lecturing position with Sydney University to Dietetic students and has facilitated workshops on food allergy and intolerance for both medical practitioners and dietitians.

Since qualifying as a Dietitian in 1982 Linda has been an active member of the Dietitian’s Association of Australia (DAA) and has held positions of National Convenor of the Food Allergy and Intolerance Interest Group and Chairperson of the Food Standards Advisory Committee. The DAA has acknowledged her as an expert in food allergy and food intolerance and she has been a spokesperson for both the DAA and The National Asthma Council.

Linda has been awarded life membership of the Asthma Foundation of New South Wales and was a member of their Medical Advisory Board for many years. She is also a member of the Australasian Society of Clinical Immunology and Allergy (ASCIA), Australia’s professional body of allergists and clinical immunologists.

Jeanie Ryan started her professional life as a nurse and then completed her dietetic qualifications at Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane. Jeanie is a private practitioner in suburban Brisbane who specialises in allergies and food sensitivity. Jeanie’s clients have a variety of problems relating to foods and food chemicals.
