In a pot, pour in oats, carrot, spices, coconut sugar and milk, then bring to a gentle simmer
If the mixture begins to thicken too quickly or the oats start clumping, add a splash of water so the oats stay soft and cook evenly.
Simmer gently for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the oats are soft and creamy. Test a small spoonful, the oats should be tender with no firmness
remaining. Once they begin to thicken and hold their shape, they’re ready to serve
Pour out the oats into a bowl, top with the roasted hazelnuts, almond butter, apple pieces, applesauce
