Fresh Strawberry Milk

Ingredients

Strawberry Syrup

  • 400g Fresh strawberries, hulled and diced
  • 200g Fresh strawberries, hulled and halved (added later)
  • 1/4 cup Caster sugar
  • 2 tbsp Maple syrup

To Serve

  • 2 cups a2 Milk® (Full Cream, Light, or Lactose Free)
  • 1/2 cup Ice cubes
  • Fresh strawberries, for topping

Directions

  1. Cut 400g strawberries into small cubes and place in a saucepan.
  2. Add the sugar and maple syrup. Mix well to ensure all the strawberries are coated.
  3. Set to medium heat and simmer for 10 minutes, stirring regularly to prevent burning, until the strawberries are soft.
  4. Remove from heat. Add the remaining 200g halved strawberries and gently fold through.
  5. Transfer to a glass jar and allow to cool completely. The syrup can be stored in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
  6. To assemble: Add 2-3 tbsp strawberry syrup to a glass. Add ice cubes, then pour over your choice of a2 Milk®. Stir to combine.
  7. Top with fresh strawberry slices and serve immediately.
